Philippe's film credits include "Beauty and the Devil" (1950), "Fan-Fan the Tulip" (1952), "Rouge et noir" (1954), and Buñuel's "Fever Mounts at El Pao" (1959). Around the time of the included letter (January 1957), he had just starred in "Bold Adventure" (1956), distributed by Cinedis), and would later star in "Lovers of Paris" (1957), with Dany Carrel. 5 x 7 inches.
