Rogers was in 1927 the Physical Education Instructor at Denison, after graduating there in 1925. Rogers was the Football coach prior to joining the U.S. Navy in 1941. Woody Hayes played under coach Rogers from fall 1930 to spring 1935 at Denison. In 1941 Woody also enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Near the close of WWII, Rogers was offer coach again at Denison but declined, recommending Woody Hays, who accepted and coached at Denison for 3 years before moving on to Miami University and the Ohio State. Rogers was one of the founders of radio station WCLT, it's manager from 1946-1967, he was also a Denison trustee from 1958-1961. Seller's image, know what you are getting!
