Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book tells the story of how the Kansas Territory became the battlefield in the national debate over slavery and the expansion of the United States. The author delves into the political machinations, rivalries, and violence that plagued the territory and ultimately led to the outbreak of the Civil War. By examining the Missouri Compromise, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, and the Topeka Constitution, the author provides thoughtful insights into the complexities of this tumultuous period.
