Vintage one sheet poster for the 1970 film. Based on the 1967 novel by Winston Graham. Deborah Dainton (Samantha Eggar), a polio victim in childhood, uses a walking stick she doesn't really need and leads a overly structured, somewhat reclusive life until she meets the charming, mediocre artist Leigh Hartley (David Hemmings). Hartley's insistence and friendship blossoms into romance, and Dainton feels truly happy for the first time in her life. It is then Hartley reveals a plot he and his friends have to rob diamonds from the auction house where she works and Dainton discovers that nearly everything Hartley had told her about himself has been a lie. Set in and shot on location in Buckinghamshire and London. 27 x 41 inches. Folded as issued. Very Good with two inch closed tear to upper right, chip and creasing in top left margin, and rubbing at folds.
