Marina Aleksandrovna Georgadze (1966-2006) poet, prose writer, essayist and translator. In the late 80s she moved from Moscow to Tbilisi, worked at the Georgian Writers' Union; then emigrated to the USA. Since 1992 she has lived in New York. She translated Georgian poets into Russian, in particular, the poems of the amazing poet Terenti Graneli (1896-1934), little known outside Georgia, whom critics called the rising star of Georgian symbolism in the twenties of the last century. Translations of Graneli's poems and a biographical sketch about the poet are included in this collection. "Route" is the author's first book.
