Bon état de cette rare édition originale bien complète des 60 planches hors texte (mq. de cuir en dos et plats en queue, bon exemplaire par ailleurs). A student of Athanase Kircher at the University of Würzburg and then his collaborator in Rome, the Jesuit Gaspard Schott (1608-1666) showed his interest in science and machinery very early on. Back at the University of Wurzburg, he made known the knowledge accumulated by Kircher, and his fame spread.
