Each contains sixteen colour tinted photographs of naval and military life in the pre-motorised era, including views of wooden ships like HMS Victory and L'Immortalite, dressing deep-sea divers, ships' guns, modern battleships, cavalry camps, on manoeuvres etc. Wire staples with very little rust, covers soiled but with little wear except for a tear in the top corner of Part 3 which affect the first six plates.
