He began his career writing for the Jewish press and was known for his violent narratives against Hungarian antisemitism. He joined the Communist Party in 1919 and was in close contact with Bela Kun. After the fall of Kun's Regime, Gabor was arrested, imprisoned, and consequently exiled - first going to Vienna, from which he would be expelled in 1925, then Paris, from which he would also be deported, then Berlin, and then Moscow. He would join the German Association of Proletarians and later work for various satirical periodicals and write numerous books. Not in OCLC, not in the trade (as of January 2023).
