Additional advertising to all sides of card wraps. With 5 color-printed, tissue guarded full-page images, and numerous black and white printed on glazed stock. **CONDITION: Near Fine. Boards are clean, with slight rubbing at outer hinges. Front endpaper a bit misfitted, showing as a crack. Bound-in original wraps are well preserved, crisp and bright, with slight stain at top inside rear corner. Small imperfection to the outer applied label, as seen.**This important edition of art magazine "The International Studio" features many images and descriptions of some of the turn of the century's most unique and beautiful, intricately designed trade cloth and handmade leather bookbindings, from England, Scotland Europe and beyond. Artists working in a number of mediums are represented, among them: Walter Crane, Laurence Housman, Talwin Morris, and Jessie M. King (decorated cloth); Scots Phoebe Anna Traquair and Mrs. Annie S. Macdonald (medieval style molded leatherwork book bindings). Other "artistic bindings" of Britain's Guild of Women Binders are represented as well.
