Original quarter velum over textured blue paper boards with red emblem on covers, gilt lettering on spine. Title pages printed in red and black. Facsimile of the "Schatzbehalter (Keeper of the Treasure)" woodcuts issued in its entirety for the first time since its original publication in 1491. The woodcuts are attributed to Michael Wolgemut and his workshop. The facsimile volume includes all woodcuts in the original order and seize, and was reproduced with planographic printing. This method accomplishes the soft alignment of the original. To the reproductions of the woodcuts in volume two facsimile text pages were added to provide the impression of the original columns and script. The text volume provides the up-to-date status of the research in terms of the origin of the "Schatzbehalter" and should familiarize the reader with the author as well as the structure of his work.
