Tells the story of the camp which was located at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. It was the largest Japanese camp for civilians, holding over 4,000 American and British civilians in the Philippines during WWII. The civilians and US Nurses suffered disease, over-crowding and starvation. Includes listing in the back of the book which detail the war babies born during the internment. Also includes a list of civilians who were interned at the camp and their nationalities. Chapters detail teaching school at Santo Tomas, camp organization, sanitation and health, other internment camps in the Philippines and much more. All books are individually examined and described. Never ex-lib unless stated.
