Añadir al carritoLithograph of The Wright Brothers 'Strange Contraption' Rises at Kitty Hawk, 1903. Wright Aeronautical Corporation off-set color lithograph of a Frank Lemon watercolor painting honoring the Wright Brothers' historic flight at Kitty Hawk, signed by Orville Wright in black ink along the horizon line. Framed. In fine condition. The piece measures 15.5 inches by 18.25 inches. Rare. The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were two American brothers, inventors, and aviation pioneers who are generally credited with inventing, building, and flying the world's first successful airplane. They made the first controlled, sustained flight of a powered, heavier-than-air aircraft on December 17, 1903, four miles south of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. In 1904-1905 the brothers developed their flying machine into the first practical fixed-wing aircraft.
