Front and rear cover contains the name stamp of F. C. Schrader and this is also stamped inside the book. Frank Charles Schrader (1860-1944) of Harvard and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) was a well-known and respected American geologist, mineralogist, and entomologist, and author. He was known throughout the west as the prospector's friend and was also one of the first federal geologists to explore Alaska. Exterior shows toning along with spotting and mild soiling. Edges and corner show bumps and spine is chipping at the top and bottom edges. The internal binding is good and text pages are secure. Paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present. No handwriting or library markings present.
