The Fort is located about 6 miles from Colorado Springs. Its predecessor, Camp Carson, was formed in May, 1942. The 10th Mountain Division trained there, and approximately 10, 000 POW's were interned at the Fort. This bookhighlights Company G, 2d Battalion, 1st Training Regiment (graduation date of March 30, 1962).
