In this climate, the need for compassion is greater than ever. In response to the shifting sense of safety and perceived loss of sacred space around the world, we invited 36 contemporary artists from 21 countries to reflect on ideas of sanctuary and create designs for four-by-six-foot wool rugs, woven by hand in Lahore, Pakistan.
