Paperback octavo, very good condition, thick card covers with flaps, few black & white text-photos, maps, minor edgewear corner tips. 256 pp. Senior Johann Flierl wrote this autobiography as an 83-year old man during the years of the Second World War. He wrote it in 1941, in retirement in Germany, for his children and their families. This translation and editing from Flierl's manuscript was undertaken by his grandson, Erich Flierl. This current publication shows Flierl, in the twilight of his life, reflecting on a long rich life as a Lutheran missionary in Australia and New Guinea. Some parts of the original, such as detailed references to people and places, and comments on social and political situations of the day, have largely been omitted. He was a missionary of courage, faith and persistence. (No ISBN in book.). …

Jedoch komplettes Exemplar. Papier teils ewas fleckig. Wenige Bleistiftanstreichungen). 23x15 cm * Einzige Ausgabe. Sehr selten! Johann Flierl (* 16. …
