Books are in nice condition - only a few books have vertical spine creasing, all of the pages are tight and flat with just a few have creased page corners (faint evidence of moisture exposure to top right corner to first few pages on Dr. No), a few books have slight age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, no former owner's name/price inside or used bookstore stamps inside any of the books, no foxing to pages, endpapers or outer page edges of note, no internal spine splits, besides Russia no significant front cover creases, no spine lean, no soiling to covers, no chipping or tears to covers (Casino has small closed tear at top right corner, tiny cut to top right corner on Thuderball), besides the occasional small color rub to a couple of covers no color cover rubbing/wear, no spine sun fading to any of the books, no significant front cover edge wear to any of the books. She joined the Daily Mail in 1929 and in May 1945 was the only woman with the North Atlantic Fleet, which took the surrender of 8 German U-Boats, She was a Founding Member and the original Vice-Chairman of the Women's Press Club. The first full length critical study of James Bond (preceding Kingsley Amis' The James Bond Dossier), and the only such book of its type to be approved by Ian Fleming (who died in the same month and year of first publication). ('Fred') Snelling was an illustrator, film critic and biographer who became a respected member of the antiquarian trade working as a clerk for the London auctioneer Hodgson's, later Sotheby's Rare Book Department, where he first met the James Bond author and rare book collector Ian Fleming.
