Hardcover. Condición: New. 1st Edition. Penguin Drop Caps have been developed in the USA for Penguin, and the result is stunning. Created by Penguin's Paul Buckley and illustrated by Jessica Hische, this series of 26 rainbow-hued hardcover editions features literature's finest treasures. An edition for each letter of the alphabet, the series is seriously collectible. These first printings are already RARE and are being sought after. Each letter is represented by one revered writer. This one is X for Xinran, and the selected book is 'Sky Burial'. Each unique book is in startling bright livery, which extends to the text edges. In this volume the cover is a powerful cerise, and the edges are in a dark tone of this colour. The large initial on the front is highly individual. Splendid idea, beautifully designed, and a dream for collectors. FIRST PRINTINGS LIKE THIS ARE LONG SOLD OUT. Language: eng Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng.
