This is a reprint edition, according to the author of it's Preface, and ".represents the first annotated edition with modernized spelling and punctuation in almost one hundred and fifty years." It is comprised of 97 + xviii pages, which provide for a table of contents, bibliographic note, editor and organization information, an index, as well as several illustrations and maps. The book is essentially sound. The blue cloth boards are free from wear spots, and the gold leaf titles and devices are clear and distinct on both the front cover and spine. The "Map of Plymouth area by Samuel de Champlain, 1604" front and back sets of end papers are clean and unmarred, except for a former owner identification that has been blacked out with felt-tip marker on the front free end paper.
