Original publisher's brown covers with yellow spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names--there is a bookplate on the front free endpaper. PLEASE NOTE: this book has a SLIGHT MUSTY ODOR for those that may be sensitive to it. ; B&W Illustrations; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 166 pages.

Alexander Finta [1881?1958] was a Hungarian-born American artist. Finta received his early education in Europe before moving onto Columbia University. He settled in Los Angeles, California in 1939 and proceeded to create marble and bronze busts. While in Paris, Finta studied with Auguste Rodin and after serving in World War I, he created a number of war memorials in Hungary. He has sculptures in a number of countries. He worked for 20th Century Fox until his death in 1958. Signed.
