"On October 21, 1938, Hitler had already instructed the Wehrmacht to prepare for the "liquidation of the rest of Czechoslovakia". Following a German ultimatum, Slovakia declared itself independent (Slovakian state) on March 14, 1939. The next day, by threatening to bomb Prague, Hitler succeeded in getting the previous Czechoslovak President Emil Hácha to place his country "under the protection of the German Reich" (Wikipedia). - The interesting photomontages, reminiscent of J.
