This copy is accompanied by the Heritage Club Sandglass panphlet, which on page 2 states "Fielding's book has lately been turned into one of the funniest and most entertaining pictures of recent years." That film, starring Albert Finney and Susannah York, came out in 1963, suggesting that year for this particular printing. Tom Jones was originally published in 1749; the text of this edition is based on the revised Third Edition of 1750. Introduction By Louis Kronenberger, Bibliographical Note By A. W. Pollard.
