This work was presented to the membership at the 1894 meeting, as noted on the front cover and in the minutes of the 1894 assembly. The pamphlet includes a transcript of the 1893 meeting, which occurred at the Society Club House at 236 Fifth Avenue on February 13, 1893. At this meeting, a portrait painted by James H. Beard of Gen. William T. Sherman was presented by the society president, Colonel William L. Strong, to the Ohio Society. Signed.
