Original endpapers with inscription. 25 illustrations from photographs. Folding map. Text block very clean and tight. A very good copy overall. Bruce in his introduction states Featherstone deals with his attempt to reach the New or Western Muztagh Pass and was one of a number of people attempting to explore the vast region of the Kara-koram Himalayas. Featherstone's expedition was privately put together and done on his leave! Not a bad thing to do on your holidays! a nice copy of the book is uncommon but much more so inscribed in 1936.

Yakuski F33: "An account of the exploration of "Unexplored Pass", i. e. New (or Western) Mustagh Pass in 1922. From Srinagar the route of the journey was as follows; Zoji La-Skardu to Skoro La to Askole to New Mustagh Pass, and the return journey was made through Askole, Braldu valley, Skoro La, and Skardu. Then he travelled through the Shyok and the Nubra valleys to Leh.".
