Il était donc vraisemblablement aussi apothicaire. Il fait partie des trois docteurs nommés en 1635 comme étant les « docteurs les plus capables », lui comme professeur, les deux autres comme démonstrateurs. Cet angevin était sieur de Mele [Meslay] et fut l'élève favori de Charles Bouvard (1572-1658), premier médecin de Louis XIII. P.S. avec notes autographes, 4 juillet 1641, 1p in-8. Sur parchemin.
