The dust jacket is in excellent condition with two small holes on the front (which carry through to the surface of the cover board), very small tears at the top and some rubbing at top and bottom of spine. It is now protected in a mylar cover. According to the author?s Preface, the illustrations opening each chapter are from Honoré Daumier?s illustrations for A.F.H.
