Elaborate Festschrift of the German company M. Pech, presented to the company's president Alfred Busch on the occasion of his 60th birthday on January 17, 1941. The company was founded in 1882 by Maximilian Pech and manufactured First Aid supplies such as dressings, band-aids, etc. In the early 20th century the company expanded and started offering sanitary supplies as well. The Firmenschrift is illustrated with 51 mounted original b/w photographs of exteriors and interiors of the company's buildings, branches, production, workers, festivities, as well as a portrait of A. Busch. German, gothic script masterfully handwritten in black ink, describing the history of the business and describing major events relating to the company up until 1941. Includes a passage on the 1938 award "Anerkannte Berufserziehungsstätte" which was presented to A. Busch by Dr. Robert Ley of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF). The National Socialist regime gave awards such as these to companies that were an example of how a productive 'Aryan' German business should be run and operated according to Nazi ideals. Interior photographs of management offices show Hitler photographs on the walls. Other passages tell of the removal of all Jewish managers and employees in May 1933. Decorative initials throughout. Original typewritten 11 1/2' x 16 1/2" telegram by the company's management and its workers, congratulating Alfred Busch, laid-in. Front cover of telegram with color reproduction of a drawing depicting a mountain scene, rear with color drawing of flowers. Minor foxing on telegram. Telegram dated 16/1/1941. Slight staining and age wear as well as closed tear on top-right corner on box, firmly holding. Foxing on inside-lining of box. Small stains on leather binding. Minor staining on endpapers.
