Seitdem der Ausspruch getan wurde, daß der Gewinn als maßstäblich für die Wdrt schaftlichkeit zu gelten habe, ist das Antlitz der Bilanz, wenigstens in der neueren lite ratur, von der überlieferten Geldseite nach der Leistungsseite gewendet worden. Es unter liegt keinem Zweifel, daß diese Wendung einen großen Fortschritt bedeutet hat. Die Kehr seite liegt nur darin, daß nunmehr die Geldseite zu sehr vernachlässigt worden ist. Dieses Umstandes wird man sich. besonders in Zeiten wie der gegenwärtigen bewußt, in denen die Bagatellisierung des Gelddenkens zu einer öffentlichen Gefahr zu werden droht. Wer die Nachteile des Geldüberhangs, den ein Krieg mit sich bringt, vermeiden will, muß zu einem verantwortungsvollen Gelddenken zurückzuführen sich bemühen. Hier liegt eine Angelegenheit von größter staatspolitischer Bedeutung vor.
