Añadir al carrito188 p, b&w and colour photos, facsimil and other iillustrations, bibliogr.

[1],[26,[1] pp. Orig. stapled printed wrappers [244 x 220 mm.]. Extremely rare fascist-futurist pamphlet written by Erich Wichman (officially Wichmann) (Utrecht, August 11, 1890 - Amsterdam, January 1, 1929). Wichman lived in Milan for some time in 1924. - On the front cover is a handwritten annotation "Voor A. Defresne [.]". A. Defresne likely refers to August Defresne (1893-1961). He was a Dutch author (play, prose) and director. - - Wichmann was a Dutch artist, eccentric, anti-parliamentary troublemaker, anti-bourgeois writer, and, from the mid-1920s, a fascist. The pamphlet was published in 1924 following the assassination of Italian socialist Giacomo Matteotti by fascists. Wichman attempted to justify the assassination and defend Mussolini's position, which had been temporarily weakened by the assassination. The pamphlet was one of the first publications to address Matteotti's assassination and the subsequent crisis within fascism. It is a key document for studying fascism and its responses in the Netherlands. - Only a few copies of this pamphlet are known. 6 copies are registered in WorldCat.
