In his introduction to World Hoax, publisher William Dudley Pelley describes the book as "one of the most damning indictments of a people ever penned" in "attesting that Communism is world Jewry in action!" (pgs. 1-2). Following a chapter outlining his premise, Elmhurst devotes chapters to the architects of Jewish Communism: Marx, Lenin, Bela Kun, Trotsky, Stalin, and Maxim Litvinoff (collectively, the "six-pointed star of Jewish Communism". He then provides details on how Communism is used as a Jewish stratagem before discussing its international implications and its potential deleterious effects on U.S. society. This edition includes an added chapter on Communist infiltration of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO). Elmer F. Elmhurst was the American name of the German-born Herman Fleischkopf who immigrated to the U.S. in 1923 after serving with the German army in WWI. During the 1930s he was involved with the German-American Bund and the American National Socialists and founded the Pan-Aryan Alliance. Under this organization he published a pamphlet, A Protocol of 1935 based on a Careful Study of the Present Day Jewish Activities, and distributed a circular he wrote, Christian Mothers Refuse To Let Your Boys Be Circumcised! Along with Pelley he later became a defendant in the Great Sedition Trial of 1944. After his acquittal, along with Homer Maerz and Kurt Mertig, he was arrested and sentenced to six months in jail for unlawful assembly and for distributing literature on Jewish ritual murder.
