Jahrhundert hinein darstellen - eine wichtige Ergänzung zu den Beobachtungen an der frühen Volksballade. Friedrich von Hausen bedeutet den Sieg der neuen, höfischen Kunst. Seine beiden ältesten Lieder lassen noch zum letztenmal den alten Klang vernehmen; dann beginnt, mit neuen geistigen Mitteln, zierlicher und beweglicher, zugleich aber auch enger, der höfische Minnesang. Unsere Untersuchung führt zu der Anschauung, daß der frühe Minnesang ein eigener Formkreis ist und nicht nur den "klas-sischen" entwicklungsgeschichtlich vorbereitet.
