Ich benütze diese Gelegenheit um Ihnen ein Lebenszeichen zu geben [.]". - Ehrmann, seit 1780 Mitglied der Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, war seit 1804 Arzt am Rochushospital und wurde 1808 zum Medizinalrat ernannt. Der versierte Mediziner zählte zum Bekanntenkreis Goethes und begründete die Stiftung "Orden der verrückten Hofräthe"; daneben betätigte er sich auch als Satiriker. 1784 wurde er in die Frankfurter Freimaurerloge "Zur Einigkeit" aufgenommen. Als Impfgegner kritisierte Ehrmann die von Edward Jenner eingeführte Schutzimpfung gegen Pocken scharf. - Rudolf Rt. von Vivenot gründete 1848 den "Konstitutionell-monarchistischen Verein"; als sich die angestrebte Gründung einer patriotischen Partei nicht verwirklichen ließ, zog er sich jedoch aus der aktiven Politik zurück. Seit 1868 Mitglied der Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, wurde er 1872 Vorsitzender des Komitees zur Gründung des Sophienspitals in Wien; daneben war Vivenot Direktor des Unterstützungsvereins für Witwen und Waisen des medizinischen Doktor-Collegiums. - In altem Sammlungsumschlag.

April 1749 zu Straßburg als Sohn des gleichnamigen praktischen Arztes und Professors der Medicin geboren, promovirte 1772 in Basel und wurde 1779 in Frankfurt am Main als praktischer Arzt aufgenommen. 1792 wurde er Garnisonsarzt, 1804 Arzt am Rochushospital (bestimmt für die Aufnahme von Krätze- und Blatternkranke sowie für Syphilitische).
