A contemporary review described Chapel Street Children (1900) as "a book which will delight children of any age," adding that Farmiloe is "second to none in her delineations of Cockney gutter imps". Original dark blue cloth with gilt titles. Page edges gilt. Prize inscription on fron endpaper and attractive contemporary bookplate on free endpaper. Hinges cracked but binding tight. Wonderful sketches of small children obviously drawn from life.
