Blue Hardcover. Condición: Very Good Plus. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Reprint. 1978. xlvii, 582pp. Scottish Gaelic Texts Volume Four. Gaelic text opposite the English translation. "In 1952 the Scottish Gaelic Text Society published what has come to be regarded as the definitive edition of the poetry of Duncan Ban Macintyre, one of the outstanding Gaelic poets of the eighteenth century. Over the years the demand for this book has been remarkably steady and sustained, and the need for this reprint is in itself a tribute to the continued attractiveness of the poetry. Although composed about 200 years ago it is still being read by successive generations and admired for its fresh, natural and lyric qualities. A large number of these poems have passed as songs into the oral tradition and are still being sung". Blue hardback with gilt titles to spine in excellent condition with no inscriptions, and minimal wear. The unclipped dust jacket has wear to the left edge of the front inner flap but is otherwise in excellent condition. PLEASE NOTE: Heavyish book so a little extra may be needed for shipping to non-UK customers.
