Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: New. First Edition, !st Printing. Volume itself has tan cloth covers with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover as well as the gilt emblems of the State Historical Society of Iowa at both of these places. Top of pages have beautiful gilt and bottom and outer edge of pages are deckled. 455 pages, including an index. BRAND NEW BOOK, NEVER USED NOR READ. Some pages not yet separated. Original onion-skin dust jacket is present and protected in an archival quality Brodart clear cover. A tiny piece of the dj is torn near the bottom at the spine, the small loose piece appears to be hanging on. By tiny I mean a rectangle measured under a 1/4 of an inch any way. Unfortunate, but it is what it is. Furthermore, I seriously doubt if many, if any, surviving copies are in this superb condition. Acquired by this bookseller from an original purchaser who had acquired the copy eons ago and had just recently opened the original box. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!

Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: New. Query? How is it possible to have a 1909 book in new condition? Answer: The book was carefully stored in its original box for over a century, never opened. When acquired by this bookseller the book was lacking the original onion-skin dust jacket and therefore was immediately placed in an archival quality clear Brodart cover. The covers of the book are bright red with sharp gilt lettering and the gilt emblem of the State Historical Society of Iowa on the spine and the front cover. Top of the pages are gilt, and bottom and outer edge of the pages are deckled. 279 pages, including notes and references and an index. Opposite the title page is a portrait of John Chambers from an oil portrait behind a frontispiece that is near perfect. Book is new, never used, nor read and some pages are not separated. For a condition conscious buyer of early American biographies, this is minervia. An original work in this condition, instead of a reprint. A no-brainer! Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
