Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Volume XI of 'The Works of Friedrich Nietzsche'. 1924 on the title page. On the copyright page is printed 'Published March, 1896. Reprinted August 1908.' Nothing after that. There are three copies of the 1896 first edition for sale on this site. The prices ranging from $1200.00 To $1600.00. There is only one second printing (1908) for sale, it is priced at $750.00. The title page lists only 'The Case Of Wagner; The Twilight Of The Idols; Nietzsche Contra Wagner', but a page after the Introduction (written by Alexander Tille) adds The Antichrist. 'The Antichrist: An Essay Towards A Criticism Of Christianity' runs from page 233 through to the last page, 351. The full title of Nietzsche Contra Wagner is 'Nietzsche Contra Wagner: The Brief Of A Psychologist'. The full title of the first essay is 'The Case of Wagner: A Musician's Problem: Being A Letter From Turin, May 1888.' The full title of the second essay is 'The Twilight Of The Idols; or How to Philosophise (their spelling) With A Hammer'. You can see the covers in the photos. They are quite clean, a few white specks on the front cover, one small spot on the spine. The gilt lettering on the spine is pretty bright. There is fairly light wear at the spine ends. There is a light vertical crease on the spine. The cover edges are in very decent condition, a few tiny white spots at the front bottom one, no rubbing on any of them. The four corners each have only one tiny spot of light rubbing. The page edges are clean. The book is square and the spine looks straight. The book is solidly bound from cover to cover with only one instance of a thin space between two facing pages. Both of these pages are tightly bound from top to bottom. The covers are nicely bound as well, no issues at either of their junctures. The interior of the book is in very good condition. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. There is a thin vertical crease at the margin on the blank front end paper. It can be seen with diminishing lightness through to around page 16 or so. It doesn't touch any of the print. I didn't see any turned-down corner creases or placeholder creases. The bottom edge is uncut between the first Contents page and the Introduction page (the second Contents page is between the two). There are two other instances of an uncut bottom edge in the text. I didn't find any other uncut pages. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. There are five blank rear end papers, for anyone who might care to know that. They are all in very good shape.
