In good half brown leather and brown and green and black mottled boards, gilt titles to back strip. The covers are very tight and straight, clean, leather on spine is faded and the ends worn. Red/brown end papers, name on front free end paper; otherwise unmarked. Tanned cut edges; fore edge also foxed. The text block is in good condition, tightly bound and square, with untanned pages, and foxing on fore edges, especially to Glossary and Index. With about 300 'beautiful engravings'.
