But the major part of the book is devoted to walks for all ages and abilities, all illustrated with large-scale topographical walking maps (scale 1:50,000). There is a fold-out touring map for motorists, which also locates the various walking areas. Timetables are given for local transport. The Maltese archipelago is a wonderful walking destination almost all year round, with so much historical interest as well as magnificent coastal scenery. This is the only guide to the islands that is updated annually by the author; his findings are posted online, with specific route change information where necessary. The 'Landscapes' series, with 50 destinations, has been dubbed 'the blue Bibles' by the Sunday Times; Sunflower has been named a Which? Recommended Provider of Guidebooks. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.
