A set of three (3) printed booklets issued by National Tuberculosis Foundation with home care instructions for three different parties: the patient, the nurse, and the family. Together, the booklets offer a complete view of what home care looks like for someone suffering from the disease. The booklets stress the importance of rest, proper nutrition, and protecting others by limiting contact with babies or small children and not sharing food. The nurse is given specific instructions on how to prepare the sick room and take care of the patient. The family is instructed in many of the same tasks, as well as in "Keeping Up Your Patient's Courage". Provides interesting insight into patient care in the 1940s at a time when Tuberculosis was a major public health concern. Each is a single vol. (9" by 6"), pp. 16 (Patient), 32 (Nurse), and 64 (Family), all bound in original colored wrps with line drawn illustration of an open door to a bedroom on the front.
