The book is in fair condition and has bumped corners and edge wear, previous owner scotch taped first and last end page to boards and has been front and back hinge taped, last page with small chip and library spine taped cover, otherwise this book has wonderful illustrations and good reading copy. This thin hardcover book has cute dog illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. A couple of pages have a small, dog-eared fold on the corner and there is a teeny chip on the bottom corner of about half of the pages. The pages are otherwise clean with no writing. The title page shows 1947 as the published date. The spine is fully intact. The red dust jacket has a color illustration of a Scottie dog with pie on his face. The dust jacket shows light edgewear and light crease marks (No Chips). I have placed the DJ in a fresh mylar jacket and this old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!
