This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The fabrication of aluminum alloy products through the hot extrusion process has been a forwarding and promising method for most manufacturing industries. In the extrusion process, process enhancement has been taken care of to improve the productivity of the multi-hole extrusion process. Since the improper selection of process parameters leads to poor quality and yield, an attempt was made to simulate hot direct extrusion of AA6063 alloy using DEFORM-3D, the optimal process parameters were selected through Taguchi-based grey relational analysis with a multi-response optimization technique. And the results were analyzed using ANOVA to check the significance of process parameters. The experimental works also conducted to investigate the validation of simulation results and extrusion behavior of AA6063 aluminum alloy rods under heating conditions i.e. 400 to 500°C by using multi-hole extrusion dies. For the experimentation, ram, container and multi-holes dies were designed and fabricated as per the standard specifications. 124 pp. Englisch.
