Den beiden ersten B…üchern folgt nun ein dritter Band: In seinem neuen Projekt beschäftigt sich Bernd Lasdin mit der Situation von Gutsfamilien aus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, die im Zuge der deutschen Vereinigung auf den einstigen Familienbesitz zurückgekert sind. In der gleichen einfühlsamen Art und Weise, wie er die Menschen in Neubrandenburg und Flensburg zur Selbstinszenierung brachte, hat er auch diesmal in ungeschönten Bildern Einzelschicksalen als Teil eines sozialen Ganzen nachgespürt. Bernd Lasdin lässt in diesem Band die »neuen Gutsherren« zu Wort kommen. Wie in seinen vorangegangenen Projekten legt er Fotos in schwarz-weiß vor, auf denen sich die »Rückkehrer« an einem selbst gewählten Ort in Haus oder Hof präsentieren - die Szenerie wurde von den Protagonisten selbst gestaltet. Die Fotos haben die Portraitierten mit kurzen, oft sehr persönlichen Texten kommentiert, die viel über die Motive der Rückkehrer verraten. Die so entstandene Studie visualisiert auf äußerst eindrucksvolle Weise die Probleme des Zusammenwachens zweier Gesellschaften nach der »Wende«. Nach der Übernahme 1882 durch die Baltiomore & Ohio Railroad Company erfolgte die Umbennung in Cincinnati, Washington & Baltimore Railroad Company welche später in Baltimore & Ohio Southwestern Railroad umbenannt wurde. Teile des Streckennetzes werden heute noch von der Great Miami & Scioto Railroad und als CSX Transportation Co. bedient. / T his Cincinnati, Washington and Baltimore Railroad Stock Certificate is signed by Civil War Brigade General Orland Smith. Smith was a commander in the Union Army that took the hill in the Battle of Wauhatchie that now bears his name. After the war, he became an executive for the Railroad. Originally formed as the Belpre and Cincinnati Railroad in 1845 and then the Marietta and Cincinnati Railroad, it was absorbed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O). In 1882 when taken over by the B&O it's name was changed to the Cincinnati, Washington, and Baltimore Railroad and then again to the B&O in 1889. Issued in the 1880s.
