The price clipped dust wrapper has some edge wear and one or two closed tears so best described as good. This copy is from the library of the late Sir Owen Aisher (1900-1993) who was the Chairman of Marley Ltd (1945-1982) and bears an inscription to him on the front paste down. He inherited from his father the ability to read widely, urged on with such aphorisms as 'to read much is to learn much', 'to learn much is to know much' and 'knowledge is power'. This book vividly recreates the history od the great merchants of commerce and their housesand heritage in Dorset. Ref LL1.
