He is the author of over 60 publications, including books on Lachaise, Nakian, Diebenkorn and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Issued in conjunction with a 1987 exhibition featuring 17 paintings rendered by New York School abstract artist Philip Guston (1913-1980). He was inspired by travels in Italy.
