Corners bumped, blotted-up water(? ) stain on upper third of cloth. Internally, front and rear hinges cracked, additional hinge cracks between a few of the gatherings, missing front endpapers (starts with title page) , first gathering loose, 2 other gatherings also loose, paper age yellowed, some leaves torn and chipped along edges (text unaffected) , but otherwise complete, text unmarked, and despite the condition, probably never reallly read beyond a few of the selections. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Good. Normal shelfwear. Very occasional light penciling in volume 1. Corner creasing to the first 15 pages of volume 7, otherwise very good pp.
