No Binding. Condición: Very Good. 408 x 381mm (image 312 x 242mm). Edges very slightly creased. Collotype commissioned by the artist's uncle, Maurice Baring, and donated to the sitter. The original is now in the National Portrait Gallery. "The drawing was made in January 1932," remembered Daphne Pollen (née Baring, 1904-1986), "…while [Belloc] was sitting for my husband [the sculptor Arthur Pollen] for a bust. He liked the drawing & remarked 'No man knows what he looks like but that drawing is alive'. He thought the nose too 'bombé' & said it looked like 'Blake having a vision' . . . His family & friends seemed to think the drawing was a good likeness. He had a collotype reproduction made of the drawing . . . & gave copies to some of his friends.".
