London, Longmans Green and Co. 1954 (first edition), format in-8�, xxxii pp + 543 pp, Publisher's red cloth. The text flaps of the dust jacket have been tipped in on the pastedowns. This is the copy of co-author Raymond Defay with his rubber namestamp and his autograph. Inserted is a 3 page correction of the calculations of pp 405 ( athermal solutions - size of molecules). Accoring the autograph note the correction was handed to him by Aur�lie Bellemans (Von Karmann Institute, ULB Brussels).
