Fresh from world War I, where he had served with great distinction with the RAF, he threw himself into the task aeroplane offered a safe and reliable means of transport. It was Brearley who, in 1919, formed the Australian Areo Club, west Australian section, though it was another ten years before the Club was finally incorporated. "Wings of Change" traces the course of what is now called the Royal Aero Club of Western Australia. In 1999, the Club celebrates its 70th anniversary, recognised as one the biggest aviation clubs in the world.
