Hardback. Condición: Good Plus (see description). Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good to Very Good. Reprint. 1965. Reprint (first Children's Book Club edition). 189pp. and a frontispiece and black and white ilustrations by Sheila Rose. Primrose Cumming (1915-2004) was a British writer of children's books, known for her pony stories…. The Mystery Trek is one of her later works, and the heroine of the story, Leonie Revell, is still grieving over the loss of her beloved horse, Beverley, following an accident in the jumping ring. All the efforts of her family to reawaken her interest in life have proved unavailing, until the day of the 'mystery trek'. The book is bound in the original blue boards with black titling on the spine. This copy appears to have been in some sort of library (possibly a school library) and has some library indications. It is in good to very good condition and the case of the book has some staining on the bottom and fore edges of the front board, bumping to the spine ends and cocking to the spine. The contents are tight and clean apart from a few light marks. The front fixed endpaper has a tape stain running down the fore edge and traces of two removed labels. The front free endpaper has noticeable tape stains on the top edge and a light tape stain on the bottom edge. The rear free endpaper appears to have been removed and a previous owner has reinforced the rear spine gutter with a strip of white tape. The unclipped dustwrapper has shelf wear with some soiling and staining and rubbing to the edges. Small pieces are missing from the corner tips and large pieces are missing from the top and bottom spine corners. There are a few small tears on the edges and a larger tear of about 1" on the bottom front spine edge that has been repaired on the reverse with tape. Sheila Rose (ilustrador).
