Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. 1st Edition. This book contains the writings of Ta'unga who lived on the island of Rarotong and travelled extensively in New Caledonia, the Loyalty Islands, and Samoa. From the DJ, his was "the first record by a resident of the indigenous cultures of teh south-eastern portion of New Caledonia at the time of the first contact with foreign commerce and religion. It is also the first published book to contain the writings of a Pacific islander writing about any country other than his own." Interesting The book itself is in fine condition with contents that are bright and clean. The DJ sadly has several tears, which because it is a plasticized DJ stand out as do the wrikles along the top edge. Still, overall a nice copy.
